My work could be described as contemporary mixed media installation and sculpture.  The central theme of my art is changing the negative into the positive.  My pieces are made from things that society deems as having no value, but I feel are worth transforming into something beautiful.  These objects that have been thrown away are the main source material for my work.

In my latest series called ”Box Car Willie and Circus Train”, I use drawers as “stages” for the creation of individual universes, where toys and other found objects can interact.  The specific objects that I select have a particular characteristic that appeals to my aesthetics or spark my creativity, which help me imagine a relationship between them.  This process of selection inspires me to place them in a universe, where they can coexist in peaceful harmony or diametric convulsion. Hopefully, each peace can spark the viewer’s imagination to invent their own story.

The individual “stages” are part of the larger composition - “Box Car Willie and Circus Train”, which assembles like a train. Each piece or “wagon” can also be displayed individually and can easily be hung on the wall.
